Ah I see, yea I don't have a backlog lmao. So, I HAVE TO stay on schedule. Kinda sucks, I didn't listen to those telling me how important a buffer is haha. Maybe for my next comic!

My entire comic is done in grayscale :grinning: I really love drawing title drawings for each and every chapter.
Since my art does originate mostly from manga gray tones give me life

I wanted to see how an older drawing looked with some CSP screetones laid on top. I'm satisfied for now.

Dunno if this counts. Energy field is in color...

How's it going? Lotta of releases this week, how are you guys holding up?

I'm genuinely eager to know how you guys manage the workload and stress-
that comes with making comics!

I released chapter 5 for those interested!

I knew there was a thread on this topic, but I’d lost it!

Anyway, here is the first monochrome drawing I’d done in almost thirty years. I drew it just for the hell of it, and the experience was highly reminiscent of doodling in school. I could have seen myself drawing something very much like this on the back of a math test after finishing it but waiting for the teacher to collect them.

Here’s Daecon in monochrome, crosshatch shading just like with a ballpoint pen:

I'm all about the Monochrome. I always had a deep affection for the B and W mags of my youth. (That's last century to you whippersnappers) Also I want a look I could keep up for the 200 plus "Pages" of this particular project.

Something a little different on this rainy, windy, cold AF Sunday: Daecon driving Big Boy.

Train nerd stuff ahead:

Big Boy, otherwise known as Union Pacific 4014, is the largest steam locomotive ever built. This baby had 24 wheels arranged in a 4-8-8-4 configuration (four idler wheels under the cab, eight driving wheels, eight more driving wheels, and four more idler wheels under the front truck). This amazing feat of engineering, built in 1941, was 132 feet (40 metres) long including the tender, weighed 1.2 million pounds (540,000kg), produced 6300-7000 horsepower, and had a top speed of 80mph (130 km/hr). There were 25 "Big Boy" class locomotives built. One survives and has been restored to active service. I have always wanted to see this machine operating in person. So far I haven't had the opportunity to do so.

I decided to give Daecon the thrill of my lifetime by not only giving him the opportunity to see it; He's DRIVING that MF!

I’ve done a bunch more monochromes. I’m redoing all of the images for Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days to get ready for print. Here are the ones I’ve got so far:
