It's interesting that alot of you listen to music when you write. I used to as well, but I started to find that the music had a tendency to lead my mood when I was writing, so I started to drop it so I could get a bit more control over the tone I was going for. No problem listening to it when I draw though.

mmmmmmmmmmm green tea. love it

i listen to worldbuilding music, mayb pop in and out of discord. i cant have too much going on while i write or i get distracted

I start off listening to jazz to get the momentum going, then I actually like to work in silence.

Listen to inspirational music. Just as much for setting the tone as for blocking out distractions. Sometimes I put specific songs on loop if they feel relevant to a scene I'm working on. I try to remember to stay hydrated and stop for food and whatnot, but when I get in the zone I kind of forget about the rest of the world. Except pets. I will put aside anything to pet cat or dog.

I listen to a relaxing chill mix (anything gets my heart pumping too fast, I'm kind of an anxious person ^^''')
Sometimes on Saturday mornings, I watercolor the page while watching my writer Brani play a videogame over Skype. It's fun!

Just listen to spotify playlists, mostly the ones from Broadway musicals XD

Podcasts via Stitcher. I like informational/educational podcasts. Fiction/story podcasts interfere with my work though.

i BINGE television shows. like, voraciously. they are always playing (partially because i live alone and some part of me thinks that the sound of people talking will drive away ghosts)

I like to watch crime docs and a show called "unsolved mysteries". I write a mystery/crime/supernatural manga, so watching stories in my genre helps with my creative process. Sometimes if I have a certain emotion or atmosphere for a certain scene or chapter I will make a music playlist for it to capture the mood and play it on repeat.

I do the same while I draw pages too. Lol Usually I have drinks and snacks nearby because when I work, it is often 6+ hours at a time.

I'll usually have a Youtube video playing in the background. Not anything specific, just anything that looks good.

I go for the silent approach. Drawing is more like a release from everything else for me - time to just focus on one thing and that's it. Helps a lot with reflection

I usually have this big mug of tea right beside me and either synthwave blasting, or intrumental viking songs

I listen to music or listen to a podcast (Joe Rogan Experience) or the philosophy musings of Alan Watts. I also can't draw unless I am drinking an energy drink.

I take a walk , i always have ideas pop out when i walk . don't know why.

I listen to the same song over and over. It's relaxing, for some reason. :joy:

I put some random mix from youtube and start drawing.

My background music always varies depending on what I'm working on; sometimes it's a lo-fi chillhop mix and maybe some rain noise or something nautical if I'm feeling particularly unsettled or one of the playlists I've built for a specific story/scene. Beyond that it's snacks and some hot tea or coffee at my side.

I usually go on Youtube and catch up on all my new videos from people I'm subscribed to for the day.
I mostly listen to YT videos while I work, but there are times when it has distracted me from working ;;;
If I find myself getting too distracted, I usually put on music, but that eventually bores me and then I end up "watching" Netflix while I work. I get bored fast though, so I usually cycle through all these things every single day 8'D
