I'm a very beginner artist, and anytime I ever trace off the top of a 3D model, it looks significantly worse than if I used a model or image as a reference. I'm betting that's the same for most people.
I'm excited to give out a lot of ink!
That's why I always try to leave a few comments! Nothing encourages comments like comments already being there.
I am a creator and I know how much comments mean to me, so I try to leave them for others as well. Plus, seeing comments already there will spark more comments from certain timid readers. I don't leave comments as much on comic strips or single page comics because sometimes it's just too short to …
Write at least 80,000 words
I'm really hoping this story breaks out big!
I want more popular GL stories so readers like me have more good stuff to be a fan of. There was barely any good GL when I was a teen. Now that I'm an adult it's changing fast, and I want to be a part of that.
I don't expect there to actually be a new option, but mostly because almost nobody actually used it in the first place. Sadly, I was one of the few who did
Could you share a portfolio or some examples of your art?
Do you have any information on what this person's app actually was? The lack of specific details in the OP made me a little bit suspicious, especially since the user stopped logging on long ago.
Can you share examples of your artwork?
Second person of course
I like the relative lack of drama and toxicity on these forums. There's some jerks here and there, but overall the community is so much warmer and less fighting all the time than most any other author community I have been in.
Yeah I think you should reupload. It'll make your viewcount drop a lot but if you think the pacing is very bad it might be necessary. Plus, reuploading in smaller chunks means more episodes in total!
Surely like for like is against the rules, right?
It helps you get past those certain thresholds to unlock ink support, ad revenue, etc., but beyond that it's not really helpful at all, and all the Promotion threads clog up the forum big time.
The trick is in giving them just one, maybe one redeeming quality, just enough that some crazed folks might suggest they are doing things for the right reasons... And then, simultaneously, to give these characters the upper hand in almost every situation until they finally get their comeuppance. I…
Follow the guidelines as closely as possible and try your best to make your book as appealing as possible. Remember that the people reading your submission have never read your book and probably have never even heard of it, so these are first-time non-readers. Don't be afraid of spoilers, either; th…
I encourage you to study up on philosophy so that you can write these scenes as best as possible. And you'll learn cool stuff, too.
Best way to encourage engagement is to post consistently for a really long time, Easier for novels than comics, but in both categories, it takes a really long time to see much out of Tapas, even years for many authors. Readers still don't comment much, but the longer your story goes consistently, th…
HDDs theoretically live longer while SSD has an eventual expiration date (way far off of course) but all those moving parts in an HDD tend to make it break faster. HDDs are good for long-term storage, like full PC backups or something. HDDs are also good for heavy downloading, while with SSDs that j…
Ah that's some nice art. If you are still in need of someone by the end of the year, PM me. I write lots of LGBTQ+ stories. Too busy now but I'll be less busy later.
AH! I'm old so I didn't even consider tiktok as a possibility, and I forgot to check their Instagram. The author of the God Game comic does have a lot of followers on Instagram, though not 400k views' worth. I'm not so convinced they are inflating their viewcounts now, but it is clear that they ar…
I have heard of GlobalComix (which has gotten a good UI update recently it seems) but never any of the others. NoirCaesar doesn't seem to qualify as a "web fiction" platform if it's almost all paid and requires accounts, but maybe that'll change in the future because it does look nice. Voyce.me I…
Even non-fantasy stories need worldbuilding. That's the most important takeaway I've gotten from my work over the years.
Never heard of this, but the desktop site is a nightmare to navigate. I really hope they can fix that.
(not an artist) Is it paid or unpaid? What kind of art are you looking for? How long is this project?
If the story isn't going to have a bunch of mature chapters, it might mislead readers or make them wonder why only the first chapter is mature. If you're OK with that though, then it's fine.
I hope your story gets a bunch of episodes! 100 subscribers is really good for one episode.
